The meet ing was ca11ed to order by the Mayor,
j. J. Furlong.
CounClilmen present: Furlong, Durbin, Levy, Peralta
Councilmen absent: Leonis
It was moved by Levy, seconded by .Peralta, that the
reading o~ the minutes of the previous meeting be dispensed
with. Mot ion carried.
At this time the City Clerk read a connnunication
f~om the Leonis Investment Company, requesting a permit for-
the creation of a.n official dump to be used for' non-combustible
rubbish originating in the City of Vernon.
At this time Councilman Durbin introduced Resolu-
t ion No. 73l., a resolut ion appr'ov ing the request of the Leonie
Investment Company and creating an official non-combustible
rubbish dump for the City of Vernon.
It Vlas moved by Levy, seconded by PeraJ..ta, that
Resolut ion No. 731 be adopted. Mot ion carried.
At this time The First National- Bank of Vernon
presented the Ci~y Couneil with. a. bid for th.e .purch.ase of
$100,000.00 of (hty of Vernon LJ.ght & Power Ror'ks Plant
and Distribution System bonds, voted September 10, 1930,
in the following form:
