Counc iImes present: Furlong, Levy, Peralta Councilmen absent: Leonis, Durbin It was moved by Levy, seconded by Peralta, that the reading of the Minutes of. the previous meeting be dispensed with. Motion carried. Communication from Alex de la. Torre, for permit to feed livestock on teen acre tract located sonth of East 26th Street and eaat of Soto Street, formerly occupied by Belyea Truck Company, waa r-ead. It was moved by Levy, seconded by Per'alta. that the same be re:ferred to the Police Department. KotioD car- ried. ORDINANCE NO. 464, an ordinance 1icensing and reg- u1ating the manufacturing and sale of alcoholic beverages within the City of Vernon, was read for second reading. At this time the City Treaaurer requested that cer- tain funds now on deposit in The First National. Bank of Vernon be transferred to the Bank of America, Vernon Branch, for bond interest and redempt ion on water Systems lios. 1. and 2, aa follows: 1923 Water Bond Interest 119,062.50 1.925 Water :Bond Interest 21,233.40 1.923 Water Bond Redamptions 12,500.00 '52,795.90 It was moved by Levy. seconded by Perallta, that the funds. as requested by the C1 ty Tr-easurer, be transferred fram The First :lational:Bank of Vernon to the :Bank ar America.. Vernon BranCh, to meet the bond interest and redemption on Water Systems Nos. 1. and 2. Motion carried. At this time the City Clerk presented to the City Coune..il a budget for the ensuing year, and requested same to be adopted, having heretofore-been approved by the Finance Commi.t t ee. Councilman Levy introduced RESOLUTION NO. 733, a resolution approving a budget for the year 1933-34, and moved its a.doption. which was seconded by Councilman Pera.lta., and carried. At this time Councilman Levy introduced RESOLUTION NO. 734, a resolut ion setting aside certain rooms in the City Hall to be used exelusivel.y by the Electrical Depart- ment of the City, and moved its adoption, which was seconded by Councilman Peralta, and carried.
