It was moved by Durbin, seconded by Pera~ta, that
the reading of the Minutes of the previous meeting be dis-
pensed with. Votion carried.
Raport of the Fire Deparment on tmi~diDg ~plica.-
tion 4340, of the caJ.avo Growers of California for permit
to Clon.truet warehouse at. 4803 Everett Avenue, was read,
wherein the :fir'e Department approved t.he: a.pp~icatiO'n and
recommended the iBllUing of permit.
It was moved by Durbin, seconded 'hyperalta., that
building app~ication No. 4340 of the Calavo Growers of Cali-
fornia be. approved and permit isaued. Votion carried.
Report of the Fire Department on building ~lica-
tion ~4~, of Vernon Potter-lea, Ltd., for permit to e
additioll to existing buil.diag, was read, wherein the Fire
Department recommended that the app11cation be granted.
It was moved by Durbin, seconded by Per-uta, 'that
the report of the :i'ue Depar'tmen1i be fil.ed and the building
permit on application No. 4341 be granted. Votion carried.
Report of the Fire Department on Appllcat ion 4.34j
of Geo. d. SaUl. for permit to instal~ ~O,OOQ gallon gasOline
tank and pump at 5750 Magnoila Avenue, was read, wherein the
Fire Depa:dment recammended thait the applicat ion be granted.

the report of the Fire Department be filed and permit on

of Pioneer Prov iaion Company, for permit to make addi t ion to
refrigeration system at 4445 S. Soto Street., was read, wherein
the Fire Department rec.ommended tha.t t.he applicat ion be
granted.

DeparUlent recommended that the permit be granted.

At this time the City Engineer recommended tbat
all bids for the furnishing of fuel 011 for the city's power
plant be rej ect ed.
It waa moved by Durbin, seaoDdec1 by Peral.ta, that
the rec.ommend&.tion of the City Engineer be concurred in and
that all bids be rejected a.nd the Clerk authariz.ed to return
all bidden' cheaD. Motion carried.
