The meet ing was cal1.ed to order by the Mayor,

It was moved by Levy, seconded by PeraJ.ta, that the
reading of' the Minutes of the prev ious me et ing be dispensed

ing issuing of temporary killing permits on suppq of govern-

It was moved by Leonis, seconded by Durbin, that
the same be filed. :Mot ion carried.
Communioation from R & :r Truck Company, requesting
permit for the tranaporta.tion of' street car bodies to and f'rom
yard at 2029 kst 46th Street, was read.
It was moved by Durbin, seconded by Peralta, that the
same be referred to the Committee of' the Wh01e. Motion carried.
Communica.tion f'rom Standard Steel Works, requesting
a botulevard stop sign at 50th and .Boyle Avenue, was read.
It was moved by- Leonis, secoaded by Levy, that the
same be referred to thelP01ice Department. Mot ion carried.
Communica.tions from FibreboardProduets Inc., and
Un it ad States Spring & Bumper Company, for permits to haul
refuse from their premises upon and along the publio streets
of the City of Vernon, \Were read.

communica.tions be filed and permits granted. Motion carried.
Inv itat ion submitted by empl.oyees af the Light &
Power Department to attend a picniC on Saturday, September 2.2.
