The meeting was ca.ll.ed to order by the Mayor,
S. S. Furlong.

It was moved by Durbin, seconded by Levy, that
the reading of the lUnutes of the previous meet ing be dis-
pensed with. )lotion carried.
The C1.erk at this time announced that he. had on
his desk bids far the furnishing and erect ion of one 25,000
barrel Cl11,;storage tank in the City'S power pl.ant yard.
It was moved by Leonis, seconded by Durbin, that
the Cl.erk open a.nd read the bids. Motion carried.
At this time the City Clerk opened and read bids
from the foll.owing firms:

all bids be referred to the City Engineer for checking and
report. Motion carried.
Communication from E. J. Stanton &: Son, requesting
permission to have trees removed from a.J.ong the south side
of East 38th Street between Ross and Alameda, was read.
It was moved by Durbin, seconded by Levy, that the
same be referred to the City Engineer. Kotion carried.
Communica.tion from Central Manufacturing District,
Inc., regarding certa.in emergency water l.ine connect ion at
Fruitland and Downey Roa.d, was read.
It was moved by Levy, seconded by Durbin, that the
same be referred to the Water & Power Committee. Jlotion
