It was moved by Durbin. seconded by Peralta. that
the reading of the Minutes of the previous meeting be dis-
pensed with. Kat ion carried.
Communication from the State of California. Division
of Highways, with agreement to provide for expenditure of gas
tax allocation. etc.. was read.
At this time Councilman Durbin introduced RESOLUT ION
NO. 758, a resolution authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to
sign said agreement. and moved its adoption, which was seconded
by Councilman Peralta. and carried.
Communicat ion from the California. Brewing Associa-
tion. 2060 E. 49th Street, regarding applica.tion for permit
to installaamonia refrigeration equipment at 2080 E. 49th Street.
was read.
, It was moved by Durbin, seconded by Peralta, that the
same be referred to the Fire Chief' for invest igatioll and re-
port. Motion carried.
Communication from Industrial Maintenance Engineering
Company for permit to establish ofrice and shop at 5125 Santa
Fe Avenue, to conduct a business of industrial pa.int contract-
ing service, was read.
It was moved by DuFbin, seconded by Peralta, that
the communication be filed and permit granted. Motion carried.

communicat ion be filed and permit granted. Motion carried.

Report of the Police Department on the application
of lIrs. VI. E. Ford for permit to operate a restaurant at 2200
East 38th Street. wnerein the Police Department reconmended
that the application be granted, waS read.

the report of the Police Department be filed and the permit
therein recommended be granted. Motion carried.

1,'he Kayor at thill time announced that the bearing
em the tentative zoning pl.an has been aontinned to this date,
a.nd requested any and all persons in the audience who desired
to protest said z.oning, or to make a.ny suggestions, to do so
at once. The C1erk announced tha.t he had received no protests,
either oral or written.
It was moved by Durbin, seconded by Peralta, that
the tenta.t ive plan for zoning of the city- be. fi1ed. ][otion
carried.
.At this t me the Mayor announced that the commit tee
desired to tile its final report for the zoning of the property
set forth in t enta.tive zoning plan.
It was moved by Durbin, seaonded by Peralta, that the
final report be filed a.nd that the City Clerk give not ice for a
hearing upon said final report a.t the next regular meeting of
the City Counci1, said notice to be posted in the three most
conspicuous places as described by ardinance of the city of
VerDOn, and said notice to be posted during the week in which
said hearing is held. Motion carried.
