kiads o.f citrus fruits, was read. 1'he Fire Chief recommended
that the permit be granted, a.s there was no anlma~ fat used
in making the compOl1nd.
It was moved by Levy, seconded by Pera.lta, that
the repo.rt be fi~ed and the permit granted. Motion carried.

D. C. Williams, for permit to operate l.unch room at 220Q East
38th Street, wherein the Police Department recommended that
the applicatio.n be filed and permit granted, was read.

recommendation of the Police Department. be concurred in. Mo.-
tion carried.

garding appl.ication to instail cupola at 3851 santa Fe Avenue,
was read.
It Was moved by Levy, seconded by peralta, that the
same be referred to a meeting of the full Council. Motion
carried.
Report of the Union Oil Company on County of Los
Angeles Franchise Ordina.nce No. 596 N. S., together with its
check in the sum of $8.82, was read.
It was moved by Peralta, seconded by Levy, that the
check be accepted and the report filed. Kotion carried.
Communication fram Boncquet Laboratories, tnc.,
requesting permit to operate manufacturing plant at 4735
District Boulevard, Was read.

communication be filed a.nd permit granted subject to the ap-
proval of the Fire Department. Kot ion carried.
Communicat ion from Baash Ross 'I'ool Company, for permit
to haul refuse fram its premises upon and aJ.ong the streets of
the city of Vernon, \'fas read.
It was moved by Levy, seconded by PeraJ.ta, that the
communication be filed and pennit granted. J1otion carried.
Report of the Police Department on the general con-
duct of the city was read.
It was moved by Levy, seconded by Peralta, that the
same be filed. Hot ion carried.
C:omDluni'ation from Howard McCurdy, City Engineer,
r'egarding the disposition of distilled water produced in the
power' plAnt, was read.
It was moved by Levy, seconded by Peralta., that the
matter be refer'red to the City Engineer with power to act.

It was moved by Levy, seconded by Pera1.ta, that the
Jiayor appoint two additional members of the City Council to
act on the Water & Power Committee for today only, in the
absence of COUDC ilmen Durbin and Leonis. )lot ion carried.
The Mayor appoint.ed Councilmen Levy and Pera1-ta.
It was moved by Peralta, seconded by Levy, that
ORDINANOm NO. 481 be amended, by changing the boundary lines
of Zone No.1, as described a.nd set forth in Section :5 of
Ordinance No. 481; by Changing the boundary 1ines of Zone No.
2, as descr'ibed and set forth in Sect ion 4 of Ordinance No.
481.; a.nd by changing the boundary lines of Zone No.6, as
descr'ibed and set forth in Section 8 of ordinance No. 481.
At this time the Mayor' suggested that the matter be
refer'red to the entire Council acting as a zoning coIbmission,
and that not ice be given in the manner required by 1&.. and that
a hearing be had thereon the see ond day of Apr il, 1.935, at
three otclock P. }t.
It was moved by Levy, seconded by Pera1ta, that the
suggeation and recommendation of the Mayor be adopted. Motion

It was moved by Peralta, seconded by Levy, that
