opened and dedicated. an June 15, 1.935, was read.
It was maved by Durbin, secanded by Peralta, that
the matt. be referred to. the City Engineer. Motian carried.

chise ordinances NOli. 80 and 152, also Los Angeles County
fr'snehiae Io. 299, enclasing check in the sum af $37.15, was
read.
It was maved by Durbin, secanded by PeraJ.ta, that
the check be accepted and the report filed. Mation carried.

At this time the City Engineer requested the appaint-
ment of 1'. M. :McCamb as superintendent of generat ion in the

e.ffect June 1, 1.93.5; the emplcyment to be at the pl.euure
of the City Council..
Said appointment hav ing heret.ofore been approved
by the Water &: Power Committee, it was moved by Durbin,
sec-onded. by Pera.l.ta, that the recommendation of the City
Engineer of the &ppointment of T. M. McComb as superintendent
of generat ion in the power pla.nt of the City of Vernon, at
a sal.ary of 1300.00 per month, beginning .Tune 1, 1935; said
empl.oyment to be at the p1essure of the City Council., be
concurred in. Motion carried.
RESOLUTION NO. 760, a resolution of the Cit,y Council
Of the City of Vernon, authorizing Howard McCurdy', City V
Engineer of said City, to sign and direct the filing of ap-
plieat ions to the State Emergency Relief Adminia1ration, ..as
read.
It was moved by Durbin, seconded by Peral.ta, tha.t
Resolution No. 760 be adopted. Motion carried.
A.t this time the City Clerk fil.ed a tentat ive
budget for the year 1.935-36.

the same be referred to the J'inance Committee for report at
the next regular meeting of the City Council to beheld

mittee, of June 4th and May 29th, were read.
It was moved by Durbin, seconded by Peralta, that
the same be filed. Motion car'ried.
