The meeting was ca.lled. to order by G. A. Anderson,
who asked that nominations be in Qrder' for temporary chair-
man of the me et tng.
It was moved. by Durbin, seconded by Peralta, that

the reading of the lUnutes of the previous meeting be dis-

Communication from the City Engineer of the City
of Los Angeles, regarding the 39th Street a.nd Alameda street
Sewer District, was ra&d..
It was moved by Durbin, seconded by Pera1ta, tha.t
the matter be refernd to the City Engineer. Motion carried.
Communication from Herbert C. Legg, Chairman of the
Board of Supan isors of Los Angeles County'. re.garding the
Public Works Program of the Federal Government involv iug the
expenditure of #4,800,000,000, was: read. .-

same be referrad to eoune.ilman Leonis for investigation and

mit to conduct the business of buying and sel1.ing crude oi1,
fuel 011, and dist illat.e, at. 24.l.a kat 30th Street, was read.
It was moved by Peralta, seconded by Durbin, that
the communication be filed and permit granted. J(otion carried.
Communication from Victor Garcia, for permit to
bui1cl shelter under whieb to pack their corn, on Eas:t 25th
Street between Alameda Street and Santa Fe Avenue, was read.
It was moved by Peralta, seconded by Durbin, that the
commtmlca.tion be filed and permit granted. llotion ~arried.
Communica.tion from Associated Oil Company, re,quest-
lug permit to construct a C1.ass -D- frame and stucco addition
to its present building at 28th Street and Santa Fe A.venue,
was raad.
