It was moved by Durbin, seconded by Perdta, that the.
reading of the Jlinutes of the previous mee.ting ba dispensed
with. Motion carried.
At this time. the Clerk announeed that he. had, pur-
sU9nt to notiee inviting same, sealed bids upon his desk for
the furnishing of lubricat.ing oil for the city' e pow.er pl.ant,
in pursua.nce to aotice a.nd Specifications No. 81.
It -as moved by Durbin, seconded by Peral.ta, that tha
City Clark ope.n and decl.ate the bids. Motion carried.

It was moved by Leoni.s, seconded by Durbin, that the

Communication from office of City Engimeer of Los
Angeles, :rgardlng payment of $3620.0Q, represent.ing city's shar'e
of the Federal funds for e.ngineering on 39th Street and Alameda
Street Sewer District, was r-ead.

Communic~tion from Axelson Manufacturing Company,
requeet ing permission to grade and curb the un~pr'oved portion
of Randol.ph Street and Boyle Avenue to the end of office building,
Was read.
It Was moved by Leonis, seconded by Durbin, that the
same be re:t'erred to the City Engineer. Motion carried.

Sacramento, with copy of Senate Bill No. 443, regarding the
fU..ing of maps a.nd l.egal descriptions of boundaries of &11Y
new districts formed and chaDK.iis in old distriets made sil'ICe
January 1, 1935. to make proper segr<egation of property to
be assessed by Board in 1936, was r'ead.
It Was moved by Durbin, seconded by Peralta, that
the same be filed. Mot i on carried.
Report of Los Angeles Ra.ilway C,ompany on Franchise
Ordinance No. 91., with check in the sum of '232.28 attached,
was ltead.
It was moved by Durbin, seconded by Per-uta., that
the co:mmunica.tion be filed and check accepted. Motion carried.

Snyder Company, requesting permits to ha.ul refuse upon and
alcmg the pUblic street s of the city of Vernon, were read.
It was moved by Durbin, seconded by PeraLta, that
the communicat ions be fi1ed and permits granted. Motion car-
ried.
Report of the Vernon Industrial Development Asao-
ciat ion for the per-io.d ending 6-30-35 was read.
It was moved by Durbin, seconded by PeJ:-al.t.a.. that the
same be fi1ed. Motion carried.
Report of the Police Department was r'ead.
It wae moved by Leanie, seconded by Durbin, that the
report be filed. Mot ion carried.
Report: of the Police Depar'tment on the applicat ian
of Carrie G. Rocbtroth, for' permit to conduct restaurant at
21.00 East Vernon A.venue., was read. The police Department
recommended that the applicat ion be. granted.
It was moved by Leonie, seconded by Durbin, that the
recommendat ion of the Police De.partment be concurred in. Mo-
tion carried.

struct assembling plant at 46th and Loma. Vista Avenue., at an
approximate cost of $1l2, 000. OQ, was read.
It .aa m.oved by Durbin, seconded by Jperal.ta, that the
application be filed and the permit granted subject to the
checking and approval of the City Engineer. Motion carried.

were read.
