The meeting was called to order by the Mayor, J. J.
Furlong.
Councilmen present: Furlong, Durbin, Peralta
Councilmen absent: Leonis, Levy
It was move4 by Dtirbin, seconded by Peralta, that
the reading" or the Minutes of the previous meeting be dis-
pensed with. Motion carried.
Prelin1iria.ry agreement..submitted by Atchison, Topeka
& Santa Fe Railway Company to the city or Vernon for locating
50 and 55 foot poles' on right of way near 26th street and
Downey Road was read.
It was lllovedby DUrbin,. seconded by Peralta, tha.t
the preliminary agreement be approved'and signed by the
Mayor and City Clerk. Mot ion carried.
Petitionsubniittedby Utility Trailer Sales Company
and others, regarding intersection of 38th Street and
Alameda Street, was read.
It was moved by DUrbiri., secori.dedbyPeralta, that the
matter be referred to the Police Department. Motion carried.

'read.

communication be filed and permit granted. Motion carried.

Circular letter from the Board" of' Supervisors of' Los
Angeles County, regarding sale hf motor vehicles in un-
incorporated territory, was read.

the matter be referred to the Clerk for reply. Motion car-
ried.

regarding liquor control, was read.

East'Vernon Avenue, which was laid over for one week, was
read.

NO. 775, a resolution approving a map of'Tract No. 10975,
ahd moved its adoption, which was seoonded by Peralta, and
oarried.
Report of the Police Department was read.

same be filed. Motion carried.
