MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED REGULAR MEET-
ING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON, HELD TUESDAY MARCH 14, 1939, AT
THREE O'CLOCK P.M., AT THE CITY HALL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON, 4305 SANTA FE AVENUE.,
VERNON, CALIFORNIA.
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor, J. J.
Furlong.
Counci1men present: Furlong, Peralta, Scheider, Levy
Councilmen absent: Leonis
It was moved by Peralta, seconded by Scheider that
the reading of the Minutes of the previous meeting be dispensed
with. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE No. 526, an ordinance of the City Council
of the City of Vernon establishing the City of Vernon Sewer
District No.1, in said City, and fixing its boundaries pursuant
to the provisions of the "M'Unicipal Sewer District Act of 1939"
and the provisions of Ordinance of Intention, No. 524 of said City,
determining that no protests were filed pursuant to said Ordinance
of Intention, and that no persons protested the for.mation of said
district or its eMtent or the cost of the proposed ~provement,
or any other matter specified in said Ordinance, calling an election
on said District for April 11, 193~, and providing for the sub-
mission to the qualified voters of said District of the propos-
ition of authorizing the issuance and sale of bonds of said District
for the purposes set forth in said Ordinance of Intention, and here-
inafter stated, and the question of authorizing the imposition of
an annual charge upon said District for the maintenance and opera-
tion of the improvement described in said Ordinance of Intention,
was read, for first reading.
It was moved by Scheider, seconded by Peralta that
Ordinance No. 526 be passed for the first reading. Motion carried.
It was moved by SCheider, seconded by Levy that the
meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
