MINUTES~OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR
MEETING OF THE CIn COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON HELD THURSDAY, OCTOBER
9, 1941, AT THE HOUR OF THREE O'CLOCK
P. M. AT THE CITY HALL 4305 SANTA FE
AVENUE, VERNON, CALIFORNIA
The Meeting was called to order by Mayor J.B. Leonis.
Councilmen Present:
Messers, Leonis, Furlong
and Peralta.
Councilmen Absent:
Levy and Scheider.
It was moved by Furlong, seconded by Peralta that the
Minutes of the previous meeting be approved without re.ding.
Motion carried.
Communication from the City Engineer setting forth the
tabulations of the various bids received by the City of Vernon for
the erection of certain houses in the City, together with his
~ecommendation that the contract be"awarded to Harry M. Westfall,
he being the lowest and best bidder, was read.
It was moved by Furlong, seconded by peralta that the
communication of the City Engineer be filed and concurred In.
Motion carried.
RESOLUTION NO. 1085, a Resolution awarding the contract
for the construction. of' certain building in accordance with Speci-
fication No. 129 was read.
It was moved by Furlong, seconded by Peralta that Resolution
No. 1085 be adopted. Motion carried.
There being no further business to come beforetheCouncl1
at this time it was 'moved by Furlong; seconded by Peralta that
the meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
