MEETING OF THE cm COUNCIL OF THE
GITY OF VERNON HELD TUESDAY OCTOBER
28, 1941 AT THE HOUR OF THREE O'CLOCK

The Meeting was called to order by Mayor J.B. Leonis.
Councilmen Present:
Messers: Leonis, Furlong
and Peralta.
Councilmen Absent;
Levy and Scheider.
It was moved by Furlong, seconded by Peralta that the Minutes of
the previous meeting be approved without reading. Motion carried.
RESOLUTION NO. 1086, a Resolution of the City Counc U of the C1 ty
of Vernon declaring that public interest and necessity requires that
the city of Vernon condemn certain property withfnstbe city was read.
It was moved by Furlong, seconded by Peralta that 'Resolution
No. 1086 be adopted. Motion carried.
RESOLUTION NO. 1087, a Resolution of t he City Council of the
City of Vernon authorizing the employment of one, Jas. R. Johnston
as appraiser in condemnation proceedings authorized by Resolution No.
1086 was read. .
It was moved by Furlong, seconded by Peralta that Resolution
No. 1087 be adopt.ed. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE NO. 547, an Ordina.nce of the City Council of the City
of Vernon regulating excavations within the City of Vernon was read for
,second reading.
It was moved by Furlong, seconded by Peralta that Ordinance No.
547 be passed for second rea.ding.
ORDINANCE NO. ,547, an Ordinance of the City Counc:tl of the City
of Vernon regulating excavations within the City of Vernon was read for
third and final reading.
It was moved by Furlong, seconded by Peralta that Ordinance No. 54?
be adopted. Motion carried by ~he following vote:

There being no further business bo come before the Council at
this time it wa.s moved by Furlong, seconded by t the meeting
adjourn. Motion carried.
