MINUTES OF ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE
CITY. C OUNC IL OF THE CITY OF VERN ON. HELD ON
AYGUST 24, 1944, at 3:30 P. M. AT THE OFFICE
OF THE CITY COUNCIL, .305 SANTA FE AVENUE.
COUNCILMEN PRESENT. Leonis, Poxon, Trowbridge, Mailliard and Peralta
C OUNC ILMEN ABSENT: None
The meeting was called to order by Mayor J. B. Leonie._
ORDINANCE NO. 572, an Ordinance fixing the tax rate for the
fiscal year 1944-45 was read for second reading.
It was moved by Trowbridge, seconded by Peralta, that Ordi-
nance No. 572 be passed for second reading. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE NO. 572, an Ordinance fixing the tax rate for the
fiscal year 1944-45 was read for third and final reading.
It was moved by Trowbridge, seconded by Peralta that Ordi-
nance No. 572 be adopted. Motion carried by the following vote:
AYES: Poxon, Trowbridge, b~illiard, Peralta, Leonie
NOES: None
ABSENT: None.
There being no further business to come before the meeting,
the meeting adjourned, upnn motion by Peralta, seconded by Mailliard.
Motion carried.
