IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY COUNCIL, 4305 Santa Fe AvenueL-Vernon. COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Leonis, Trowbridge, Poxon, Mailliard and Anderson . C OlJ"NC ILMEN ABSENT: None' The meeting was called to order by Mayor J. B. Leonis. It was moved by Anderson, seconded by Trowbridge, that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved. Motion carried. RESOLUTION 1298, a Resolution determining that the public interest and necessity demand the acquisition, construction, and com- pletion of a certain municipal improvement, namely, a building for Municipal purposes: Fire Engine Station, House and Fire Apparatus, etc. was read. ~ It was moved by Trowbridge, seconded by Anderson, that Resolution No. 1298, be adopted. Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Leonis, Poxon, Anderson, Trowbridge and Mailliard None None . RESOLUTION 1299, a Resolution determining that the public ~ interest and necessity demand the acquisition, construction anti completion of a certain revenue producing municipal improvement - Water Works includ- ing constructions of water mains, etc., was read. It was moved by Poxon, seconded by Trowbridge, that Eesolution No. 1299 be adopted. Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Leonis, Poxon, Anderson, Trowbridge and Mailliard. None ' None RESOLUTION 1300, a Resolution Approving a Franchise Bond Filed. by Southern California Edison Company, Ltd. a c'Orporation, was read. "It was moved by Poxon, seconded by Anderson, that Resolution No. 1300 be adopted. Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Leonis, Paxon, Anderson. It was moved by Poxon, seconded, by Mailliard, that Ordinance No. 595, be passed for first reading. Motion carried. There being no further business to come be~ore the meeting, it was moved by Trowbridge, seconded by Poxon, that the meeting adjourn to July 2, 1946., Motion carried.
