MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON"
HELD ON TUESDAY JULY 9th, 1946, at 2:00 P,M.

4305 SANTA FE AVENUE, VERNON, CAL.

COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Leonis, Trowbridge, Mailliard, Poxon and Anderson
C OUNC ILMEN ABSENT: None.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor J. B. Leonis.
It was moved by Anderson, seconded byT}rowbridge, that the
minutes of the previous meeting be approved without reading. Motion carried.
Communication from W. H. Wadsworth, attorney at Law" in regard
to furnishing of opinion for the issuing of water works, fire station and
equipment bonds was read.
It was moved by Anderson, seconded by Trowbridge, that the com-
munication be filed and the contents approved. Motion carried.

ORD:rNANCE No. 596, giving notice of a special .election to be held
on Tuesday , July 30, 1946, for the voting on a bond issue for water works,
fire station and equipment bond, was read for second reading.
It was moved by Poxon, seconded by Anderson that Ordinance No.
596 be passed for second reading.
ORDINANCE No. 596, was read for third and final reading.
It was, moved by Poxon, seconded by Anderson that Ordinance No.596
be adopted. Motion carried by the following vote:
A!ES: Leonis, Poxon, Anderson, Trowbridge, Mailliard.
NOES: None
RESOLUTION No. 1301, a Resolution fixing compensation of certain
employees of the City of Vernon was read. Moved by Trowbridge, seconded by
poxon, that Resolution 1301 be adopted. Motion carried by the following vote:
AYES: Leonis, Poxon,. Anderson, Trowbridge, Mailliard.
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
