MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
HELD ON MONDAY, AUGUST 26, 1946, AT 10ltOO
O'CLOCK A.M. IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE
CITY COUNCIL, 4305 SANTA FE AVENUE. VERNON.

The meeting was called to order by Mayor J. B. Leonis
It was moved by Anderson, seconded by Poxon, that the reading of
minutes of the previous meeting was suspended. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE No. 597, an Ordinance fixing the tax rate for
the year 1946-1947 was read for second reading.
It was moved by Poxon, seconded by Anderson, that Ordinance
No. 597, be passed for second reading. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE No. 597, an Ordinance fixing the tax rate for
the year 1946-1947 was read for third and final reading.
It was moved by Poxon, sedonded by Anderson, that Ordinance
No. 597 be adopted. Motion carried by the following vote:
AYES: Leonis,Mailliard, Poxon and Anderson
Noas: None
ABSENT: Trowbridge
RESOLUTION No. 13l5, a Resolution approving the sale of
real property described in fiesolution No. 1310, was read.

It was moved by Mailliard, seconded by Poxon, that Reso1u-'
tion No. 1315 be adopted. Motion carried.
There being no further bu~iness to come before the meeting,
it was moved by Poxon, seconded by ~nderson,. tha t the meeting adjourn.
Motion carried.
