MINUTES OF ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON,
HELD ON TBESDAY, November 26, 1946, AT
THE OFFICE OF THE CITY COUNCIL, 4305
SANTA FE AVENUE" VERNON" CALIF.
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Trowbridge, Anderson, Mailliard and Furlong
COUNCILMEN ABSENT: Leonis
In the absence of the Mayor, the City Clerk called the meet-
ing to order and informed the Board that in the absence of the Mayor
a temporary chairman of the meeting must be elected.
It was moved by Anderson, seconded by Furlong, that R. J.
Furlong be elected Mayor pro tem. Motion carried.
R. J. Furlong called the meeting to order.
It was moved by Anderson, seconded by Mailliard, that the
minutes of the previous meeting be approved. Motion carried.
Itwas moved by Trowbridge, seconded by Mailliard, that when
this meeting adjours, it adjourn to meet on Friday, November 29, 1946
at 2:00 P. M. Motion carried.
APPLICATION 12265 A building application by Flintkote Company
to construct a concrete slab 31 above ground in Chi~ board warehouse at
55th & Alameda Streets, at the approximate cost of '3500.00, was presenmed
to the Board for approval.
It was moved by TrOWbridge, seconded by Mailliard, that the
application be approved. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE No. 598, an Ordinance of the City of Vernon to
license, for the purpose of revenue and regulation, certain kinds of
business authorized by law and carried on in such city, was read.
It was moved by Anderson, seconded by Mailliard, that the
second and third readings of Ordinance No. 598, be postponed until
the adjourned regular meeting on Friday, November 29, 1946. Motion
carried.
There being no further business to come before the meeting#
the meeting ad,journed until November 29, 1946 at 2:00 P. M.
