MINUTES OF ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF
TEE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF VERNON,
HELD ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 1946 AT THE
HOUR OF ,2~O . P. M. IN THE OFFICE OF THE
CITY COUNCIL, 4305 SANTA FE AVENUE, VERNON
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Trowbridge, Anderson, Mailliard, Furlong and Leonis.
COUNCILME+i ABSENT.:". None
The meeting was called to order by Mayor J. B. Leonis.
It was moved by Anderson, seconded by Trowbridge, that the
minutes of the previous meeting be approved. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE No. 598, An ordinance of the City o:f Vernon to license,
for the purpose of revenue and regulation, certain kinds of business author-
ized by law and carried on in such city inclu.ding shows, exhibitions and
lawful games carried on therein; to fix the rates of license tax upon the
same and to prOVide for the collection of the same b~ suit or otherwise;
and prescribing penalties for the violation of the provisions of this
ordinance, and repealing all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
therewith, was read for second reading.
It was moved by Furlong, seconded by Trowbridge, that Ordinance
No. 598, be passed for second reading. Motion carried.

therewith, was read for third and final reading.
It was moved by Furlong, seconded by Trowbridge, that Ordinance
