The meeting vas called to order by Mayor R. J. Furlong
It was . moved.by~.Leonis; second~d by Anderson, that the minutes ot
the previous meeting be tiled and approved. Motion carried.
ORDIIABCE BO. 617, an Ordinance tixing the rate ot Taxes and Levying
the Taxes tor the tiscal year beginning July 1, 1948, vas read tor secona
reading.
It was moved by Anderson, seconded by Leonis, that Ordinance Bo.
617 be passed tor second reading. Motion carried.
ORDIBdCE BO. 617, an Ordinance tixing the rate ot 'faxes and Levying
the Taxes tor the tiscal year beginning July 1, 1948, was read tor third
and tinal readtng.
It was moved by Anderson, seconded by Leonis, that Ordinance Bo.
617 be adopted. Motion carried by the tollowing vote:

Communication from the City Eagineer, recommending that bid of
SoutherB California Fence Co. be accepted and contract awarded in amoDnt ot
$4159.41 for fencing ot Pumping Plant Bo. 2 property, vas read.
It vas moved by Leonis, seconded by Anderson, that the communication
be filed and the recommendation of the City Engineer be concurred in, and that
the City Attorney be instructed to draw a contract betveen the City and the
Southern California Fence Co. Motion carried.
RESOLUTIOII NO. 1401, a resolution awarding to Southern California
Fence Co. the contract for furnishing and delivery of all material and con-
struction of tence at Pumping Plant Bo. 2, vas read.
It was moved by Anderson, seconded by Leonis, that Resolution Bo.
1401 b~ adopted. Motion carried.
There being no':f'urtherbusiness to come betore the meeting, it vas
moved by Leonis, seconded by Anderson, that the meeting adjourn. Motion
carried.
