AVENUE, VERNON " CALIFORNIA.
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Furlong, Anderson, Mailliard
and Trowbridge
COUNCILMEN ABSENT : Leonis
The meeting was called to order at 4:00 P.M.
on April 10,1950, by 'Mayor R. J. Furlong.
The Mayor called upon Carson B. Hubbard, City Attorney,
for a report on the negotiations with Consolidated Pacific Investment
Company. The City Attorney reported that Mr. Viereck, representing the
Consolidated Pacific Investment Company, agreed, at a conference with
all of the attorneys representing the respective parties to this
litigation, together with ~~. Colton of the Building Department and
Mr. Hollingworth of the City Engi~eer's office; that he would present
to the attorneys for the City of Vernon, to be ~resented at this
adjourned meeting of the City Council, a contract looking forward to
the settlement of all issues involved in this litigation and the
dismissal thereof; that Mr. Viereck, having failed to present the
contract, there was nothing for the Council to act on at this time
with reference to said litigation.
There being no further business to come before the
meeting, it was moved by Trowbridge, seconded by Mailliard that the
meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
