MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED REGULAR
MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON HELD ON APRIL
26, 1951, AT 10:00 A.M. IN THE
COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY HALL
LOCATED AT 4305 SANTA FE AVENUE,
VERNON, CALIFORNIA
COUNCIL PRESENT: Furlong, Poxon, Trowbridge
COUNCIL ABSENT : Anderson, Mailliard
The meeting was called to order by Mayor R.J. Furlong.
Mr. Clifton Clay, Stenographic Reporter.
The l-1ayor asked if any person wished to be heard in
regards to a petition filed by the Bethlehem Pacific Coast Steel
Company on zone variance.
Report of W.B. Hollingworth, City Engineer, was read.
and admitted as evidence.
Report of F.H. Donnelly, Fire Chief, was read, and
admitted as evidence.
Mr. J. L. McBride for the Bethlehem Pacific Coast
Steel Company was heard.
Mr. R. J. Tremblay for the Bethlehem Pacific Coast
Steel Company was heard.

Mr. Geano Contessoto of the City of Huntington Park
was heard.
A demand in the amount of $575.44 was filed by
J olm Vi. LaPointe for the furnishing of daily transcript in Superior
Court Case #558132, City of Vernon vs City of Los Angeles for
April 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20, 1951.
It was moved b7 Trowbridge, seconded by Poxon that
demand in the amount of $575.'+4 filed by John W. LaPointe be approved
and warrant drawn. Motion carried,
There being no further business to come before the
meeting, it was moved by Poxon, seconded by Trowbridge that the
meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
