The meeting was called to order by Mayor R.J. Furlong.
Mayor Furlong read the fOllowing comnmnication from the
Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.

Sir:
Hr. Joseph Jensen, Chairman of the Board
of Directors of the Metro~olitan Water
District of Southern California, has requested
that I report to you the action taken by the
Board of Directors of the District on April
8, 1952.
On that date an order was adopted inviting
an application for consent to annex the prev-
iously informally approved area of the proposed
Central Basin Water District, exclusive of the
area represented by the City of Vernon.

Upon discussion and deliberation, it was moved
by Trowbridge, seconded by Nailliard that the City~ttorney be
instructed to prepare a resolution requesting that, that the
City of Vernon be included in the Central Basin Municipal Water
boundary, to be presented for action at the regular meeting of
May 6, 1952. Motion carried.
There being no~urther business to come before
the meeting, it was moved by Anderson, seconded by Poxon that the
meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
