Communication from the Rota.r.r Club of Vemon requesting permission to erect
and maintain on City property about twelve additional signs to cover all major streets
leading into the Oity with the standard Rotary sign showing the time and place of weekly
:meetings, was read.
It was moved by Trowbridge, seconded by .Anderson, that the reqa.est of the
Rotary Olnb of Vernon be approved subject to supervision and regulation by the Police
and Engineering Departments. Motion carried.

Oaptain L. O. Newman and Battalion Chief Kirk to Riverside, Califomia, on January 12"
1955, to attend the regular monthly meeting of Southem Oalifornia Conferenoe of Fire

approving Specifications No. 184 and City Engineer's Drawing, Plan No. Br;-1323 for the
constrllction of a fence and asphalt concrete pavement at Well No. 11, Pulping Plant No.
1, in the City of Vernon, was read.
It was moved by Trowbridge, seconded by Ma.:i1liard, that Resolution No. 1797
be approved and adopted. Motion carried.
