MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
HELD JUNE 10, 1957 AT 2 O'CLOCK P.M.
IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY
HALL LOCATED AT 4305 SANTA FE AVENUE,
VERNON, CALIFORNIA.
COUNCIL PRESENT: Anderson, Furlong, Mailliard, Poxon
COUNCIL ABSENT: Malburg
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Furlong pursuant
to written notice served on June 7, 1957 to all members of the
City Council as per affidavit attached and written consent of all
council members on file in the office of the City Clerk, for the
purpose of directing the immediate institution of legal proceedings
to determine the rights of the City of Vernon under its lease with
the Southern California Edison Company of Vernon's electric
generating plant and interconnected electric transmission
distributing system.
Resolution No. 2064 - A Resolution of the City Council of
the City of Vernon directing the immediate institution of legal
proceedings to determine the rights of the City of Vernon under its
lease with the Southern California Edison Company of Vernon's
electric generating plant and interconnected electric transmission
distributing system, was read.
It was moved by Anderson, seconded by Poxon, that
Resolution No. 2064 be approved and adopted. Motion carried.
Ayes: Anderson, Furlong, Mailliard, Poxon
Noes: None
Absent: Malburg
There being no further business to come before the
meeting, it was moved by Poxon, seconded by Mailliard, that the
meeting adjourn. Motion carried.

TO THE COUNCILMEN OF THE
CITY OF VERNON
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN~ that the Mayor of the City
of Vernon hereby calls a special meeting of the Council of said City
forMonday~ June 10~ 1957 at the hour of 2 o'clock p. m. ~ in the
Council Chambers~ 4305 Santa Fe Avenue in the City of Vernon.
That the purpose of the meeting is to discuss and deter-
mine the legal course to be taken by the City in determining the City's
rights under the lease to Southern California Edison Company of
Vernon's electric generating plant and interconnected electric trans-
mission distributing system to the Southern California Edis.on Company,
together with all matters relating thereto.

CONSENT TO HOLDING A SPECIAL
MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF VERNON
We~ the undersigned~ each being a Councilman of the City
of Vernon~ hereby consent to the holding of a special meeting of said
Council at 2 o'clock p. m.. on June 10. 1957~ in the Council Chambers.
4305 Santa Fe Avenue in the City of Vernon~ for the purpose of discussing
and determining the legal course to be taken by the City in determining the
Cityts rights under the lease to Southern California Edison Company of
Vernonts electric generating plant and interconnected electric trans-
mission distributing system to the Southern California Edison Company~
together with all matters relating thereto.
