MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED REGUlAR MEETING
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON HELD FEBRUARY 18, 1959 AT TEN
O'CLOCK A-.M. IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF
THE CITY HALL LOCATED AT 4305 SANTA FE
AVENUE t VERNON t CALIFORNIA.
COUNCIL PRESENT: Anderson, Furlong, Mailliard, Malburg, Pox on
COUNCIL ABSENT: None
The adjourned regular meeting was called to order by
Mayor R. J. Furlong.
Mr. Harold Quinton, Chairman of the Board of the Southern
California Edison Company, addressed the City Council with reference
to the problems between the City and Edison relative to the continu-
ation of electric service by Edison to the customers in the City, and
verbally outlined the historical background of the Vernon-Edison
relationship in the supplying of electric service to the customers
in the City of Vernon.
~tt. Quinton presented a letter from Southern California
Edison Company, dated February 18, 1959, transmitting for consideration
by the City Council a letter agreement of Southern California Edison
Company, dated February 18, 1959, and a proposed tariff schedule
relative to electric service by Edison to customers in the City of
Vernon.
It was moved by Malburg, seconded by poxon, that letter of
transmittal from Southern California Edison Company, dated February
18, 1959, together with letter agreement,dated February 18, 1959, be
taken under advisement for study. Motion carried.
It was moved by Anderson, seconded by Malburg, that the
meeting adjourn until Tuesday, February 24, 1959, at 10:00 o'clock
A.M. Motion carried.
