INFORMAL DISCUSSION ON THE PROPOSED
NEW WATER RATES HELD IN THE COUNCIL
CHAMBER, 4305 SANTA FE AVENUE, VERNON,
CALIFORNIA, ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19,
1963 AT 10:00 A.M.
PRESENT: Councilman Furlong, Mailliard, Malburg
Councilwoman Anderson
F. A. Ziemer, City Clerk
John B. Moore, Administrative Officer
Vincent R. Poxon, City Attorney
R. H. King, Superintendent, Water & Sewer Systems
J. W. Williams, Civil Engineer Associate
The Mayor announced that this was the time and place for
an informal meeting to discuss the proposed new water rates.
The City Clerk advised those present that notice of
informal meeting to discuss the proposed new water rates was mailed
to all City of Vernon Water Department customers on Tuesday,
September 3, 1963.
The City Clerk advised that no written protests were
received.
Mayor Furlong asked if there was anyone in the audience
that wanted to be heard.
Mr. George Harrison of the Central Manufacturing District,
Inc. appeared, but did not protest.
The hearing was adjourned at 10:05 A.M.
