It was IOOVed by McConnick, seconded by Ybarra, that the minutes of the City Cotmcil Meetings held Jwe 29, 1981, June 30, 1981, and July 7, 1981, be approved as written and submitted. M>tioncarried. Parcel Map No. 14055 for subdivision of land owned by SWift and Canpany into two parcels, was presented. (Deferred fran Jwe 16, 1981, Council Meeting) It was moved by Gonzales, seconded by Davis, that this matter be deferred until the next regular City Council Meeting. Motion carried. Ccmntmi.cation fran Board of Supervisors, County of IDs Angeles, in regard to the Palmlale Internation8.l Airport's building pennit, dated June 25, 1981, was presented. It was IOOVed by Ybarra, seconded by McConnick, that the ccmrn.mication fran the Board of Supervisors, County of IDs Angeles, be received and filed. Motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 913 - An Ordinance Of The City Council Of 'lbe City of Vernon Repealing Ordinance No. 894 And Providing For Salary And Expense Allowance For Members Of The City Council Of The City Of Vernon, was read by title for a second and final reading. . It was moved by Gonzales, seconded by Davis, that Ordinance No. 913 receive and pass a second reading and be adopted. Hotion carried. AYES: Gonzales, Davis, Ybarra, Malburg, McConnick NOES: None Absent: None I ORDINANCE NO. 915 - An Ordinance Of'lbe City Council Of'lbe City Of Vernon Amending Exhibits "B" And "J" Of Ordinance No. 911 Fixing Rates To Be Charged For Electrical Energy Distributed And Supplied By Said City Within Its Boundaries And Repealing Certain Ordinances Of'lbe City Of Vernon Relating 'lbereto, was read by title for a second and final reading. It was moved by Ybarra, seconded by Gonzales, that Ordinance No. 915 receive and pass a second reading and be adopted. Motion carried. Bank, totaling $150,021.83, (Accounting Period June and July, 1981) was examined and audited. It was moved by M.cConnick, seconded by Ybarra, that ~,;rarrant Register No. 576, be approved and payment authorized for Demand Nos. 3700 thru 3844, (both inclusive) excluding Demand Nos. 3753, 3763,3767,3769,3786, 3822, and 3844, with no exceptions. Motion carried. 57'7 =2= 7/21/81 Warrant Register No. 576, covering claims and demands presented during the period July 1 thro July 15, 1981, which included Light and Power Demand Nos. 3753, 3767,3769, 3786,3822, and 3844, totaling $5,277,421. 21, (Accounting Period June and July, 1981) was exanined and audited. It was moved by Ybarra, seconded by Gonzales, that l.Jarrant Register No. 576, be approved and payment authorized for Demand Nos. 3753,3767,3769, 3786, 3822, and 3844, with no exceptions. Motion carried. Councilman Davis abstained. I Payroll lJarrant Register No. 290, covering claims and demands presented during the period May 17 thro June 27, 1981, which includes Demand Nos. 3283 to 3306 (both inclusive) drawn on the Crocker National Bank, totaling $730,847.06, (Accounting Period June, 1981) was examined and audited. It was moved by Ybarra, seconded by Davis, that Payroll Warrant Register No. 290, be approved and paym:mt authorized for De:nand Nos. 3283 to 3306 (both inclusive), with no exceptions. Motion carried. At this time, 3:00 0' clock, p.m., the Mayor declared a recess. At this time 3: 30 0' clock, p.m., the City Crnmcil reconvened in regular session, all narberspresent before the recess, again being present. At this time, tie t'f.ayor adj ourned the regular meeting for an infonnal discussion regarding St. Martha's Church. J. J. Brandlin, attorney for the Ranan Catholic Archbishop of IDs Angeles, addressed the council. Reverend :tvf..onsignor Benjamin G. Hawkes, Vicar General, addressed the council. At this time, 4:40 0' clock, p.m., Mayor Malburg excused Councilman Davis. At this time, 4:40 o'clock, p.m., it was moved by McConnick, seconded by Ybarra, that the City Council go inot executive session, tmder Attom.eyl Client privilege. Mo.tion carried. All persons with the exception of the City Administrator and the City Attorney, were excluded fran the executive session. Mayor Malburg declared all carm.mications to and fran the executive session deemed private and confidential. At this time, 5: 25 0' clock, p.m., it was moved by McConnick, seconded by C.onzales, that the City Council go. out of executvie session and resune regular session. Motion carried. I It was moved by McConnick, seconded by Ybarra, that the regular City Council Heeting to be held August 4, 1981 be adjourned until August 6, 1981 at 4:45 o'clock, p.m., due to a lack of a quorum. Motion carried. It was. moved. by HcConnick, seconded by Ybarra, that the City Attorney be authorized to notify Richard F. Pavlosky and Raymond L. Michalski, that the regular City Cotmcil l-f..eeting to be held ~Q;USt 4, 1981, at 2:00 0' clock, p.m., in the council chamber of the City Hall, has been adjourned until August 6, 1981, at 4:45 0' clock, p.m.. Motion carried. It was moved by McConnick, seconded by Ybarra, that the hearing on Ray1llOI1d Mlchalski' s request for disability retirerrent be continued frem the regular City Council Meeting of August 4: 1981, 'I:.mch has been adjourned to August 6, 1981, at 4: 45 0' clock, p ~m., to the regular City Cotmcil Meeting to be held. September 15, 1981, and order subpoenaed witness, Ralph DeMott to appear at said hearing on September 15, 1981, at 3: 00 0' clock, p.:m. Motion carried.
