MEMBERS PRESENT: Gonzales, McCormick, Davis, Newmire
MEMBERS ABSENT: Maisano
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 a.m. by Mayor Gonzales.
The City Clerk announced that there were no changes to the
agenda.
The City Clerk announced that this was the time allotted for
public comment. The Mayor inquired whether anyone in the
audience wished to address the City Council. ''No one responded.

It was moved by Davis and seconded by McCormick to approve the
Minutes of the Regular City Council - Light & IPower Meeting held
August 16, 2010. Motion carried, 4-0.
It was moved by McCormick and seconded by Newmlre to approve the
Minutes of the Regular City Council - Light & Power Meeting held
February 15, 2011. Motion carried, 4-0.
CONSENT CALENDAR:
It was moved by McCormick and seconded by Davies, that the
matters on the Consent Calendar be approved aslirecommended.
Motion carried, 4-0.
1. Approval of Light & Power Warrant Register No. 295,
totaling $1,718,711.97, which covers the period of February
8 through February 21, 2011, and consists,�of the following:
a. Ratification of wire transfers totaling $1,538,825.50;
b. Ratification of the issuance of earls; checks totaling
$179,886.47; and
2. Approval of Gas Warrant Register No. 83, totaling
$4,806.41, which covers the period of February 8 through
February 21, 2011, and consists of the foilowing:
a. Ratification of wire transfers totaling $82.29;
b. Ratification of the issuance of early checks totaling
$4,724.12; and

Carlos Fandino, Director of Light & Power, rep';orted that on
February 18, 2011, at approximately 10:00 pm, there was a power
outage at the Ybarra Substation due to the failure of an
underground cable. Light & Power is in the process of replacing
about 500 feet of cable.
In response to Councilman Davis, Fandino stated that water had
entered the cables and caused the failure. The cables were
approximately 10 years old.
Fandino also reported that the Gas Department
customers, Aerojet and Gavina & Son.
