An ord1nance regulating the storage of crude oil or the
products thereof and the installstion, operation and
maintenance of boilers and machinery in the City of
Vernon, California.

~ernon do ordain as follows:
Trustees of the Oity of
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or
corporation to keep or store or have upon their prem18ea within
one hundred and fifty (150) feet of the neareat side line of any
public atreet, avenue, highway or boulevard in the City of
Vernon, crude 011 or any of the products of crude 011 or any
the by products of crude oil in any quantity greater than on
hundred (100) gallon..

The I!oard of
~ectlon 2. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or
corporation, t6 install, maintain or operate any boilers, evapor-
ators, mixers, engines, turbines, motors, heaters, transformers
or any piece of machinery of whatever nature in the City of
Vernon, Oalifornia, without first having obtained from the I!oard
of Trustees of the Oity ot Vernon, a permit .0 to do.
The application for the said permit shall be made in writing
and shall oontain a description of the purposes tor which the
machinery is to be installed, maintained and operated, together
with the power used for the same, the general location of the
premises upon which the said machinery is to be installed, operated
and maintained; and the application for euch permit shall be
aocompanied by a permit fee of $1.00 and it shall be in the
descretion of the I!oard of Trustees to grant or deny the permit
for the particular place of'locatlon of the said machinery or
boiler, or either of them.
Section 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating the
provisions at this ordinance shall be deemed guilty ot a mis-
demeal).or and upon conviction thereof' shall be tined not maN
than $ 100.00 or by imprisonadnt in the city jail not exceed1ng
one hundred days, or by such fine and imprisonment.
