of Los Angeles COWlty. California. be closed up, vace.ted and
abandoned, as contemplated b;,r Ordinance :10.192 of said City.
Section 2:
That said work is for the closing up
of the street more pUTticularly described in section 1 hereof,
and it appears to Gaia, Boar(l of Tru.stees that tr.ere are no
darnages. costs, or expellses arising out of said work, and that
no assessmeJ:t is necessary for said work, c.wd therefore no
COWllilissioners are appointed to assess benefits and damaces for
said wOl'k and to have general supervision thereof.
Section 3:
The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same tc be
printed and posted in three of the most public places in said
city, to-wit: at the entrance of tJ,e City Hall and on the
northwest corner of 38th street (also known as Jefferson street)

AFFIDAVIT OF POSTING NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORK
T. J. FURLONG, being first duly sworn, deposes and
says: That he was on the 4th day of December, 1917 Street
Superintendent of the City of Vernon, California, and that on
said date he posted a Notice of PUblic Work relating to the
intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon, as
adopted by Ordinance of Intention No. 192 adopted on the 24th
day of October, 1917, to close up, vacate and abandon a por-
tion of Forty-sixth Street in the City of Vernon, a copy of
which Notice of Public Work is attached hereto and incorpo-
rated herein. That on said date; to wit, December 4, 1917,
affiant posted said Notice of Public Work on the property
described in said notice and in said Ordinance of Intention,
and in three of the most public places of the City; to wit,
at the entrance of the City Hall, and on the northwest corner
of Thirty-eighth Street (also known as Jefferson Street) and
Santa Fe Avenue and at the northwest corner of Vernon Avenue
and Santa Fe Avenue, there being no daily, semiMweekly or
weekly newspaper printed or circulated in said city.
