deposited or dumped therein,any oombustible or non-oombustible
rubbish.
SECTION No.2. It shall be unlawfUl for any person,firm,or
oorporation to oonvey,haul,or transport,or uause,allow,or permit to
be oonveyed.haUled,or transported into and through the City of
Vernon or any part thereof in,upon,or OTer any publio street,alley
or plaoe thereof,any combustible or non-combustible rubbish exoept
in,upon,and OYer those certain public streets or highways theTeln

SECTION No.3. It shall be un1awful for any person,firm,or

Vernon any oombustible or non-oombustible rubbish as herein provide4
unless the same is contained in wagons,oarts,or barrells BO con-

SECTION No.6. It shall be unlawful for any persou.firw.or
carparation convey1ng.hauling.or tranBporting.or causing.allowlng
or permitting the conTeyance.hau11ng~or transportation of rubbish
combustible or non-combustible,into and through the City of vernon
or any part thereof.to caus8.allow.or permit any rubbiah.combuBtible
or non-combustible.to beoome deposited upon any public street or
elsewhere in the City of Vernon.

Section No.a. For the purposes hereof. the following def-
initions are adopted:-
Combustible rubbish shell inolude paper.pssteboard.excelsior
, carpe~B.ragB.Q1o~h1ng,boxeB.boota.BhoeB and s1mi1ar articles that

Non-combustible rubbish shall inolude ashes.bottles.broken
crockery,glaas.tin-oans and other metallic substana8S and similar
artioles that are not capable of being burned.
SECTION No.6. Any and all ordinance or parts of ordinances
heretofore enacted and now in foroe and in confliot herewith are
hereby expressly repealed.
Section No.7. Any person.fir.m.or corporation violating any

or all of the provisions hereof shall be guilty of a misd~...~or.and
upon convi.-tion thereo:f. shall be punished by a fine o:f not more than
f One hundred dollars ';100.00) or by imprisonment in the City Jail
for a periOd not to exceed thirty days (30) or by both such fine and

SectionJ10.8. T.here being no newspaper of general a1rcula.tiqn
in the City of Vernon published, the Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and post of cause the same to be posted in th8ee
(3) of the most public places in the City of Vernon,to wit:- The

of East 38th St .and Santa Fe Ave. and at the entranoe of the Vernon
