The Board of Trustees of the Ci ty of Vernon do ordain as tallows: Section 1. That tlle rigl':it. privilege and :perr::d.9sion be. and the same is hexeby granted to the Soutbern Pacific Railroad Corr,yany, a carpor'atlon, its successors and assigns. to las, construct, rr.a:i ntain and operate a rai lroad spur track on 56th Street, in the City of Vernon, County of Los Angeles, State of California, between the points hereinafter described to wit:_ Beginning at a point on the westerly Right-of-Wny line of Southern Paclfi c Company J Vim ch point bears S. 30- 46' E. a distance of 46 feet, more or less, measured along said Right-of-Way line from the point of inte:r:6ectian wi th the center line of 55th Street pro- fuced, thence northwesterly 73 feet, more or lese, alone a curved " +ine, ocncave to the left) vi'i th a radi ue of 286.84 feet) to a point .on the we st boundary 11 ne of Ci ty of Vernon) the radi al Ii ne to 'whi ell curve at its intersection \vi th the west boundary line of Ci ty of Vernon bears N 67() 14' E.. more or less. Section 4. That s.9.1d railroC'l.d company shall a.t the time said spur track i 6 constructed, construct a cros rJing acrose, in and along said 55th Street at the place of crossing extending two feet from the ral J 8, t.i:e Barile class of pavement as the reet of the street, so as to make a good and Buffi oi ent crossing 1'01' tea.::JJ.s and wagons, a.nd it and i te successors and assigns s:hall at all times whiJLe said spur track is maint8ined, maintain said crossing in like good :rr..armer and fai ling tllerein the said Ci ty of Vernon shall have the right to construct said crossing and maintain the $8me,and said railroad company, its SUC(l'6SS0rs or assigns, shall p<:\Y to the City whatever amount it shall have expended to such conatructi on and maintenance. Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the paBsa~e of thiS ordinance, and Mall caused tl1e SBJ:le to be printed 9nd pasted as requi red by la.w.
