TENTION NO. 291, OF SAID CITY -
The Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon ordains as
follows:
SEC~ION I. That public interest and convenience 1"e-
qulrlng and the Bosrd of Trustees of the City of Vernon having
required jurisdiction so :0 do, the following improvement is here-
by ordered to be made, to wit:
The opening and widening of Topeka Avenue from the
easterly line of Alameda street to t~e westerly line of Santa Fe
Avenue, the said opening and widening to be at the places covered
by the land necessary to be taken for said improvement, 8S set
forth in Orainance of Intent10n No. 291, of said City, adopted
by the Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon at its meeting of
August 21, 1923, the s~rre being the Ordi~ance of Intenticn fer the
making of said improvement, which Ordinance is hereby referred to
for t'lll particulars regsrding said improvement and for 8 descrlp-
tion of the assessment o1strict to be 8ssessed for the improv$nent
therein described. Seid Ordinance is now on file in the office of

SECTION II. The City Attorney of said City is hereby
directed to bring an action in the Superior Court of the state of
California, in and for the County of Los Angeles, in the neme of
the City of Vernon, for the con~emn8t1on of tne property described
in said Ordinance of Intention No. 291, and neceBsary and con-
venient to be token for said contemplated improvement, and against
all the parties and claimants of SAid property, or to Any part
thereof, as required by law.
