Section 1. That the right, privilege and pennies10n be and
the same is hereby granted to the Atchison, l'opeka. and Santa Fe
Railway Ccm:panYJ a. corporation, its eucceasors a,nd assigns, to lay,
con5truct~ maintain and operate a railroad spur track across 26tt
Street. in the City of V~rn0n. County of Los Angeles, ~tate of
California, as Shown in red on blue print attached, the center
line of which is more particularly described as follows:
Beginning in the northern line of 26th Street
18.34 feet westerly along said line from the first

(e) That the City of Vernon expressly rsserves the
rigr:t to sewer, repave or reser said street a.cross which the
right to construct said railroad spur tracks is her~by granted
and to l~ gas. wa~er and other pipe there1n~ such work to be
done so as to injure said railroad as little ss pcseible.

(f) That no ob6tructiona~ whether its cars or relling
stock or item of any kind whatsoever, shall, by the said Rail-
way Company, for a period longer than three (3) successive
minutes at anyone time, obstruct, hinder or delay traffic
from passi ng along and in the space of six (6) feet on e1 ther
side of the center line of said 26th Street) a.nd at all times.
when said track is in use, the RailwBV Company shall keep, at
its own expenee, a fla@ll~l or signalman thereat for the purpose
of indicating, and who shall indicate to the public the fa.ct
that said track is in use, and who shall do all such thing::;
are neoessary and proper to protect the public from danger
injuryby reason of such uae.
