Section 1.
That the right, pr1v11ege and perm1..ion be and tho

Railway Company, a. corporation, its successors and assigns.

Beginning at a point in the northern line of Chambers
Street. distant thereon 250.19 teet west of the western line of
Paoific Boulevard; thenoe westerly on said northern street line
l3.00 feet, thence northwesterly 133.61. feet on the arc of a
curve concave to the southwest and having a radius of 296.4~9
feet, the tangent to aaid ourve at the point of 1nter.ection d

Seotion 2. The right, privilege and perm1s.ion hereby granted
ahall ba exeroi.ed and enjoyed, aubjeot to the following con-
diti ons:
(a) That no oars or looomotive. shall be penn1tted at
any time to .tand upon the street. oooupied by .aid track. ex-
"ept during the time actually <lIllPloyed in owi tohing, a.nd that
said tracks Bhall at all time. be u.ed so a. to ob.truct the
Use of said streets by vehicles and passengers as little as
possible consistent with the use for which said tracks are to
be conetructed.
(b) That sa.id grantee, its successors and assigns,
.hall oout:twrfl all necessary flumes, or culverts for the pa~
sage Qf water wherever and whenever necessary. and that all suan
flumes or culverts ahall be constructed in accordance with the
plan. and opeoifications thereof approved by the Oity Engineer
of the Ci ty of Vernon.
(0) 1~t .aid grantee, it. 8Ucoe.sor. or a..igns, will
pave and re-pave portions of said streets occupied by eaid tracks
and for a distance of two (2) feet on eaoh side thereof, with tha
.ame materials and under the .ama opeoifioat1on. and in the .ame
manner as such streets are now or may hereafter be paved or re-
paved, and that all such work shall be done under the 1n.truot1one
and to the speeification. of the Board of Trustee. of the City or
Vernon, and said roadbed .hall at all time. be kept in the of-
ficial grade of the City of Vernon.
(d) That any negleot or refusal on the part of the
grantee. its suocessors or assigna. ~o Observe or comply with auy
of the terms and condition. of thi. ord1nanoe contained, ehall ef-
fect a forfeiture of the right, priVilege or permise10n hereby
granted, and the said City by it. Board of Tru.tee.. may thereupon
declare suoh right and privilegs forfeited, and my exclude from
any further u.e of the .treet. oooupied by aaid tracks and granted
hereby made, Bhall thereupon become and r<ma1n null, void and of
no eff"ect.
(e) The t the City of Vernon expree.ly reserves the
right to sewer. re-pave or re-8ewer said streets acrOBS Which the
right to eon.truct said traoks is hereby granted, and to lay gaB
water and ather pipe therein. suCh work to be done so as to 1njU:e
said railroad as little a. pos.ible.

said Railway Company for a period longer th~ three (3)

feet on either side of the oenter lines of said Street.,
and at all times when said tracks are in u.e, the Rail....y
Company shall keep at its own expense, a flagman or signal-
man thereat, for the purpo.e of indioating, and whO ahall
indicate to the public tl1e faot that said t rack. are in
use, and who ahall do all .uch things as are neces.aq ~d
proper to protect the public from danger or injury qy reason
of such use.
(g) Ther. being no newspaper of general ciroulation
publiBhed ~d circulated in the City of Vernon, tl1e Clerk
is hereby direoted to certifY to the passage of thi. ordi-
Dance and cause the s~e to be posted in three of the' most
publio plaoes in the City of Vernon, to Wit: The northwest
Dorner of 37th Street, Santa Fe Avenue ~d the northwe.t
corner o~ 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, and at the entrance
to the City Hall of .aid City~ looated at 4305 Santa Fe Ave,
and said Ord1n~oe ehall be in full force and effect thirty
days from and after the date of posting.
