3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VERNON FIXING THE RATE OF TAXES
AND LEVYIliG THE TAXES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEG INNING JULY 1.

THE CITY COUllCIL OF THE CITY OF VERl!ION DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: That for the purpose of raising the sum
of money to be raised by taxation npon the tsxable property
in the City of Vernon as revenue to carry on the various de-
partments of said City for the fiscal year beginning July 1,
1933, the rates ot taxea for the different portions of the
~ity of Vernon are hereby fixed, and taxes are hereby levied,

on all tsxable property in the different portions of said
Uity for the fiscal year beginning JUly I, 1933. in the number

of cents upon each One Hundred Dollars of the asseesed value
of said property.. assessed Qy the County As.eesar and equal-
ized by the Board of Supervisors of the County ot Los Ange'leB,
and for the several funds and purposes set forth in the follow-

ing table. the taxes levied upon property in each portion of
said City hereinafter described and designated by a DiBtrict
Number being at the rates eet opposite the designationB of the
respective funds in the column headed by the DiBtrict Number
which is prefixed to the deaoription of suoh portion of eaid
City as hereinafter stated.

inoorporated; all that territory annexed to the City of Vernon
at anneJtat ion eleot ion hel.d June 9. 1.925. and knOwn as Vernon
Ayenue Annexation; all that territory annexed to the City of
"Vernon at annexation election held uctober 3, 1928. and known
as Vernon and Downey territory.

of 37th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, and at the entrance to the
