AN ORDINANC.ll OF THE CUY OF V'.JRNON FIXING THE RATE OF TAXES
AND LEVYING THE TAXES FOR TllE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING ;rur,y 1,
1934.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That for the purpose of raising the sum
of money to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property
in the City of Vernon as revenue to carry on the various de-
partments of said City for the fiscal year beginning 3uly 1,
1934, the rates of taxes for the different portions of the
City of Vernon are hereby fixed, and taxes are hereby levied.
on all taxable property in the different portions of said
City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1934, in the number
of cents upon each One Hundred Dollars of the assessed value
of said property as aBseaaed by the County ASE6s6or and equal-
ized by the Board of Supervisors of the County of LOB Angeles,
and for the several funds and purposes Bet forth in the follow-
lng table, the taxes levied upon property in each portion of
said City hereinafter described and designated by a District
NUlllber being a.t the rates set 'opposite the designat ions of the
respective funds in the column headed by the District Number
which is pref1xed to the description of such portion of said
City as hereinafter stated.
DISTRICT NO.~: AIl that portion of the City of
Vernon included within the boundaries thereof as originally
incorporated; all that territory annexed to the City of Vernon
at annexation election held ~une 9, ~925. and known as Vernon
Avenue Annexation; all that territory annexed to the City of
Vernon at annexation election held Ootober 3, 1928, and known
as Vernon and Downey territory.

Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles, for the several funds
and purposes set forth in the following table:

above fixed and determined, there shall aleo be levied upon all
the taxable lands of the Acquieition and Improvement District
of said City, to pay the principal and interest which has
become. or will become, payable on the bonds of said district
issued under the proceedings therefor, before the proceeds of
another tax ~evy can be made aVailab~e for the payment of said
principal Qnd interest. a s'pecial assessment tax in ea.ch of
the respective zones of said District set forth in the follow-
ing table:

the most public 'Pla.ces in sa.id City, to-wit: the northwest
corner or 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the northwest corner
of 37th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, and at the entrance to the
