Tn;;: CITY COUNCIL OF THll CITY OF V:ffiNON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: 'l'hat, to comply vofith the provisions of

Article 5 of Chapter 1 of Division I of the streets and Hlghw~s
9
Code. with particular reference to the amendments made thereto
10
by Chapter 642, statutes ot' 1935. there is 11ereby created in
11
the city treasury a special fund to be known as the ItSpecle.l Ga.a
12
Tax Street Improvement Fund".

Section 2: Tha.t all moneys received ty the city from
14
the State of California. under the prov i8ions of the Streets a.nd
15
Hiehways Gode for tile acquisition of real property or interests
16
therein for, or the construction, maintenance or improvement of,
17
streets or highways other than State highways, shall be paid
18
int Co ""aid fund.

Section 3: That all moneys in said fund shall be ex-
20
pended exclusively for the purposes autlJorized by, and subject to,
21
all cf the pl'OV ieions of Article 5, Chapter 1, .Div ieion I of the
22
Streets and HL';hwa.ys Code.

Section 4: That, there "ceing no newspaper llrinted,
published and cil'culated in the City of Vernon, the City Cl(~rk

is hereby directed to certify to tlle passa.ge of this ordina.nce

ana ~hall post SW2e, or cause same to be posted, in three of

the most pu"tlic places in saii City, to-viit: the northwest
28
corner of 38th Street a.nd Santa Fe AVenue; the northwest corner
29
of 37th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; and on the bulletin board
30
in the lobby of the City Hall of tlJe City of' Vernon, located at
31
4305 Santa ::i?e Avenue. in sa.id City; that tllis Ordi.nance shall
32 be in full force and effect from and after the date of posting.
