its lucceuor or assigns, t.o observs or comply wi th allY of the terma
and conditions of this ordinanoe ~onta1ned. shall sffsct a forfeit.ure
of the right, privilege or permi.sion hereby grant.ed. and the said

and remain nul1, void and of no eftect.
(e) That the City of Vernon expreealy reserves the right. to
sewer, repave or reaewer said streets across which right to construct
said tracks is hereby granted, and to lay water a.Dd other p1pe therein
euch work to be done so as to injure laid railroad as little as p<llllib1e.
(f) That. no obstructions, whether its cars cr rolling st.ock or
item of any kind, whatsoever, shall by the said Bailwoy C'omPBDY for a
period longer than three (3) lUooessive minut.es at any time, ob.truot.
hinder or delay treffic from ;paseing along and in the epaoe at siX
(61 feet on either sids of the oenter line. of said streets, and at
all t.imes when said t.racks are in use, the Ilailway Comp&l1Y mall keep
at its own expense, a flagman or sigdSlman t.hereat, for the purpose
of indicating, and who shaJ.l indicate to the publiC the fact that. said
tracks are in use, and who shall ,. all Buch thinge as are necessary
and proper to protect t he public f rOlll danger or inj.ury by reason of
such use.

and circulated in the City of Vernon, the Clerk is hereby directed to
certify t.o the passage or t.his Ordinance, snd oause the sBllle to be
post.ed in t.hree of the most publiC placel in the City of Vernon, to

northwest c orne" of 38th Street and Santa Fe AveDlle, and at the en-
t.ranee to the City Hall or said City, 10aated at. 4305 Santa Fe Avenue
