AN ORDINANCE Ol!' 'I'HE CITY (,I!' VERNON FIXING TIlE RATE OF' TAXES AND
3 LEVYING TIlE TAXES I!'OR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINnNG JULY 1, 1937.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL 01' THE CI'I'Y OF VERNON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS.

Section 1: That for the purpose of raising the sum of
6 !money to be raised by taxation upon taxable property 1n the City
7 of Vernon as revenue to carryon the various departments of said
B City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1937, the rates of
9 taxes for the different portions of the City of' Vernon are hereby
10 :fixed, and taxas are hereby levied, on all taxable property in the
11 different portions of said City for the fiscal year beginning July
12 1, 1937, in the number of cents upon each One Hundred Dollars of
l3 the B5S6ssed value of said property as assessed by the County

saeaBer and equalized by the Board of Supervisors of the County
lb of Los Angeles, and for the several funds and purposes set forth
16 lin the following table, the taxes levied upon property in each
]7 portion of said City hereinafter described and designated by a
18 District Number being at the rates set opposite the designations
19 of the respective funds in the column headed by the District

1 Secti~: That in addition to tl:1e rates hereinabove
2 f'l:x:ed and determined, there shall also be levied upon all the
;:) ta:xable lands of the Acquieit:1.on and Improvement District of said
4 City, to pay the principal and interest which has become~ or will
5 become, payable on tl:1e bonde of said District issued under the
6 proceedings therefor, before the proceeds of another tax levy
7 can be made available for the payment of said principal and interest,

3 of Vernon; introduced at a regular adjourned meeting of the City
Council of the City of Vernon held the lOth of Augus t, 1937,
and thereafter finally adopted at an adjourned regular meeting of
said City Council, held on the 24th day of Auguet, 1937, by the
