ORDINANCE NO. 522

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VERNON PROHIbITING THE CARRYING ON
3 OF ANY LIVESTOCK SHOW OR EXHIBITION WITHIN THE CITY OF VERNON
EXCEPT IN ZONES No.1 and No.2 OF SAID CITY. '

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section ~: It shall be-unlawfUl for any person,
7 firm or corporation either as owner, agent, employee, or other-
8 wise, to conduct or carryon any livestock show or exhibition
9 within the City of Vernon except in Zone No.1 and NO.2, of
10 said City, as set forth and described in Ordinance No. 481 as
and 516,
11 amended by Ordinance No. 483h of said City.

Section 2: Any person, firm or corporation violating
13 any provision of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
14 demeanor, and, upon conviction therefor, shall be punishable by
15 a fine not to exceed Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00), or by
16 imprisonment in the Oi ty Jail of the City of Vernon, or in the
17 County Jail of the County of Los Ange+es, for a period of time
18 not to exceed three (3) months, or by both such fine and im-
19 prisonment. Each of such persons, firms or corporations shall
20 be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each twenty-four (24)
21 hours during which such violation is permitted to exist.

Section 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances
23 of the City of Vernon in conflict with any part of this ordinance
24 is hereby repealed.

Section 4: There being no newspaper of general
26 circulation printed, published and circulated in the city of
27 Vernon, the City Clerk is hereby directed to certify to the
28 passage of this Ordinance, and shall post same, or cause same to
29 be posted in three of the most public places in said City, to-
30 wit: the northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue;
31 the northwest corner of 3~th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, and on
32 the bulletin board in the lobby of the City Hall of the City of

1 Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, in said City; that this
2 Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after thirty
3 (30) days from the date of posting.
