Section 1: That for the purpose of raising the sum of
7 money to be raised by taxation upon taxable property in the City
8 of Vernon as revenue to carryon the various departments of said
9
City for the fiscal year beginning .July 1, 1939, the rates of
10
taxes for the different portions of the City of Vernon are hereby
11
fixed, and taxes are hereby levied, on all taxable property in the
12 different portions of said C1 ty for the fiscal year bef;inning .July
13
1, 1939, in th~ number of cents upon each One Hundred Dollars of
14
the assessed value of said property as assessed by the County
15 Assessor and equalized by the Board of Supervisors of the County
16 of Los Angeles, and for the several funds and purposes set forth
17 in the following table, the taxes levied upon property in each
18 po~tion of said City hereinafter described and designated by a
