AN ORDINANCE OF TEE CITY OF VERNON DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CLOSE
UP, VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION OF IRVING STREET, LYING NORTHERLY
OF 37th Street and the FIRST ALLEY WEST OF SANTA FE AVENUE AND
NORTH OF 37th STREET IN THE CITY OF VERNON
THE CITY C OUNC IL OF TEE CITY OF VERNON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. That it is the intention of the City
Council of the City of Vernon to order the vacation and abandon-
ment of a portion of that certain public street in the City of
Vernon, known as Irving Street, lying northerly of 37th street

and the first alley west of Santa Fe Avenue and north of 37th
Street, and more particularly described as follows:
(a) All that part of Irving Street (501 wide) lying
northerly of the northerly line of Murial Avenue (now
37th Street) as shown on corrected map of Aldine Square
Tract, recorded in Book 29, page 12, Miscellaneous
Records of Los Angeles County, California;
(b) All that part of the first alley (12.0 ft.
wide) lying westerly of Santa Fe Avenue, and northerly
of the northerly line of Murial Avenue (now 37th st.,)
as shown on Corrected Map of the Aldine Square Tract,
recorded in Book 29, page 12, Miscellaneous Records of
Los Angeles County, California.
a map or plat of that portion of said street and said alley to

be vacated is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the

City of Vernon, which is specifically referred to for further

particulars as to the proposed vacation.

Section 2:
The Street Superintendent of the City of
osted not less than three hundred (300) feet apart, and at least

2 state the passage of this Ordinance of Intention, and the time
3 and place of hearing for all persons interested in or objecting
4 to t he proposed vacation.

Section 3:
The City Council of the City of Vernon
6 does hereby fix the time for all persons interested in or ob-
7 jecting to the proposed vacation as September 4th, 1945 at 3:00
8 o'clock P. M. in the Gouncil Chambers in the City Hall, City of
9 Vernon, California, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue.

Section 4:
There being no newspaper printed, pub-

lished and circula ted in the City 0 f Vernon, the City Clerk is

hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Ordinance and
13
shall post same, or cause same to be posted, in three of the
14
most public places in the Ci tyof Vernon, to-vli t: Northwest
15
corner of 38th Street and Santa Pe Avenue, the Northwest corner
16

of 37th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, and the Bulletin Board in
18
the lobby of the City Hall of the Ci ty of Vernon, located at
19
4305 Santa B'e Avenue, in said city; that ttm Ordinance shall

be in full force and effect from and after the date of posting.

ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 7th day of August, 1945.
