ORDINANCE NO. 613
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VERNON AMENDING SECTION No. 3
OF ORDINANCE NO. 571 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
That Section 3, PERMITS REQUIRED,
of Ordinance Number 571, be amended to read as follows:
Section 3: PERMITS REQUIRED.
Except as specified in Ordinance No. 571 a
permit must be obtained from the City Council of the City
of Vernon:
(a) For the storage or handling of a total
quantity of Class 1 and Class 2 liquids as Defined
in Ordinance No. 571 in excess of one gallon, in any
dwelling, apartment house or tenement, or in excess of
ten (10) gallons, which must be kept in all-metal,
safety cans or containers, and which can or container
must not exceed five (5) gallon capacity in any other
building or place within the City of Vernon.
(b) For the storage or handling of a total
quantity of Class 3 liquids as defined in Ordinance No.
571 of the City of Vernon in excess of five (5)
gallons, in any dwelling, apartment house or tenement,
or in excess of fifty-five (55) gallons inside any other
building or other place within the City of Vernon, un-
less stored in accordance with Sections 12, 13 and
14 of Ordinance No. 571.
Section 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be
posted in three of the most conspicuous places within the City
of Vernon, to-wit: the Northwest corner of 38th Street and

2 Fe Avenue, and the Bulletin Board in the lobby of the City

3 Hall of the City of Vernon, locatd at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue.
4 ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 2nd day of March, 1948.
