ORDINANCE NO. 618
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VERNON FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY
NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROlE RTY
WITHIN SAID CITY AS A REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPART-
MENTS OF SUCH MUNICIPAL CORPORATION FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COM-
MENCIN G JULY 1, 1949, AND TO PAY THE BONDED OR OTHER INDEBTED-
NESS OF SAID CITY OF VERNON, OR ANY PORTION OR DISTRICT THEREOF.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. That the amount of money necessary to be
8 raised by taxation upon taxable property within the city or
9 Vernon as a revenue to carryon the various departments of said
10 city ror the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1949, and to pay
11 the bonded or other indebtedness or said city, or any portion
12 or district thereof, is hereby fixed in the sum of One Hundred
13 Eighty-six Thousand, Four Hundred Seventy-six Dollars

That said sum so fixed for the purposes hereinbefore
set forth, does not exceed the limit rixed by law for such

Section 2. There being no newspaper printed, pub-

lished and circulated in the City or Vernon the City Clerk
is hereby directed to certify to the passage of this ordin-
ance and shall post the same or cause the same to be posted

in three of the most public places in the city of Vernon, to

wit: The northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue,
the northwest corner of 37th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, and
the Bulletin Board in the lobby of the City Hall of Vernon,
located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, and that immediately upon
the passage and posting thereof this ordinance shall be in
full force and efrect.

duly and regularly introduced at a regular meeting of the City

thereafter finally adopted at an adjourned regular meeting of
said City Council held on August 23, 1949, by the following vote:
