ORDINANCE NO. 636
1 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VERNON FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY
NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY
2 WITHIN SAID CITY AS A REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPART-
MENTS OF SUCH MUNICIPAL CORPORArrION FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COM-
3 MENCING JULY 1, 1950, AND TO PAY THE BONDED OR OTHER INDEBTED-
NESS OF SAID CITY OF VERNON, OR ANY PORTION OR DISTRICT THEREOF.

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. That the amount of money necessary to be
7 raised by taxation upon taxable property within the city of
8 Vernon as a revenue to carryon the various departments of said
9 city for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1950, and to pay
10 the bonded or other indebtedness of said city, or any portion
11 or district thereof, is hereby fixed in the sum of One Million
12 One Hundred Fiv~ Thousand, Eight Hundred Seventy-two & &o/ta~
13 ($l,105,872.6d.
14 That said sum so fixed for the purposes hereinbefore
15 set forth, does not exceed the limit fixed by law for such pur-
16 poses.

Section 2. There being no newspaper printed, pub-
18 lished and circulated in the City of vernon the city Clerk
19 is hereby directed to certify to the passage of this ordin-
20 ance and shall post the same or cause the same to be posted
21 in three of the most public places in the city of Vernon, to
22 wit: The northwest corner of 38th street and Santa Fe Avenue,

the northwest corner of 37th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, and
the Bulletin Board in the lobby of the City Hall of Vernon,
located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, and that immediately upon
the passage and posting thereof this ordinance shall be in
full force and effect.
