AN ORDINANCE OF THE CI TY OF VERNON FINDING AND DErrEmUNING THAT
THE PUBLIC INTEREST, CONVENIENCE, NECESSITY AND SAFETY REQUIRE
THNr POHTIONS 0:8' ALAMEDA STEEE'l' V:'ITHIN THE CITY OF VEPJiON BE RE-
STHICTED TO ONE-WAY TRAFfi'IC, AND ORDERING THE MOVEMEN'r OF TRAF'FIC
IN ONE-WAY DIRECTIONS OVER SUCH PORTIONS OF SAID STREET.

TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
section 1. The Council of the c~ty of Vernon finds
7 and determines that the public interest, convenience, necessity
8 and safety require that certain portions of Alameda Street lying
9 within the city limits of the City of Vernon be restricted to
10 one-way traffic, and also finds and determines that the operation
11 of certain traffic signals heretofore installed in and along said
12 Alameda Street will not accomplish the desired results unless the
13 ' following described portions of Alameda street aI'S restricted to
14 one-way traffic.

Section 2. It is therefore ordered that:
(a) Traffic shall move only in a northerly
direction on that portion of Alameda Street bound-
ed by the south property line of 25th Strest on the
north, by a line 190 feet southerly thereof on the
south, by the east line of Alameda street on the
east, and by a line 45 feet westerly thereof on the

west.
(b) Traffic shall move only in a southerly
direction on that portion of Alameda street bounded
by the south property line 01' 25th street on the
north, by a line 190 feet southerly thereof on the
south, by the west line of the City of Vernon on
the west, and by a line 45 feet west of the east
line of Alameda street on the east.
Section 3. There is no newspaper printed and published
within said City of Vernon. The Clerk shall certify to the pass-

2 Mayor, and thereupon said Ordinance shall be posted by or under
3 the direction of the City Clerk in three (3) public places in
4 said Ci ty of Vernon, to-wi t: On the Bulletin Board in the lobby
5 of the City Hall of the City of Vernon, 4305 santa Fe Avenue,
6 at the Northwest Corner of 38th street and Santa Fe Avenue, and
7 at the Northwest Corner of 37th Streat and santa F'e Avenue.
8 Said Ordinance shall be posted within fifteen (15) days after
9 its passage.
