ORDINANCE NO. 645
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VERNON FIXING THE AMOUNT eF MONEY
NECESSARY TO 9E RAISe.:D BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY
ITIN SAID CITY AS A REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPART-
MENTS OF SUCH MUNICIPAL CORPORATION Foe THE FISCAL YEAR COM-
MENCING JULY 1, 1951, AND TO PAY THE BONDED OR OTHER INDEBTED-
NESS OF SAID CITY OF VERNON, OR ANY PORTION OR DISTRICT THEREOF.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOTS:
Section 1. That the amount of money necessary to be
raised by taxation upon taxable property within the city of
Vernon as a revenue to carry on the various departments of said
city for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1951, and to pay
the bonded or other indebtedness of said city, or any portion
or district thereof, is hereby fixed in the sum of One Million One
no/100
Hundred Eighty Thousand Six Hundred Seventy.Lsix & Dollars
(h,180,676.00 )*
That said sum so fixed for the purposes hereinbefore
set forth, does not exceed the limit fixed by law for such pur-
poses.
Section 2. There being no newspaper printed, pub-
lished and circulated in the City of Vernon the City Clerk is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this ordinance and
shall post the same or Cause the same to be posted in three of
the most public places in the city of Vernon, to wit: The north-
west corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, the northwest
corner of 37th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, and the Bulletin
bard in the lobby of the City Hall of Vernon, located at 4305
Santa Fe Avenue, and that immediately upon the paeseee and post-
ing thereof this ordinance shall be in full force and effect.
